KEEP YOURSELF MOVING & ACTIVE
We offer a free over 50s non-contact boxing/fitness session every Thursday at 3pm.
This session is aimed at all levels of abilities and fitness. The participants do what they can manage and miss out activities they can’t by completing alternative exercises. These sessions help the participants get fitter and stronger by encouraging them to challenge themselves just enough, in a friendly welcoming environment.
In the sessions we work
Balance
Coordination
Fitness
Agility

Stuart Gardiner – Aged 65
The benefits from attending the classes was first meeting other people of a similar age younger and older who like me wanted to improve not only our physical but mental side of health and being competitive in an environment which was relaxed and fun.
I would recommend giving the class a go which is open to female as well as male. Fantastic facilities and a great buzz around the gym.
After not attending the classes for a period of time due to other commitments I have noticed a difference in my mobility with more aches than before and my mental health as suffered. After saying all that maybe I need to start again, your never to old to try.

Stewart Hamer – Aged 73
One of our regulars Stewart Hamer gives his feedback on his sessions on how they have helped him keep fit, socialize and to overall enjoy working out with zero pressure all without any costs to himself.
I have been attending the FREE Over 50s session now for a few years. It’s great to meet up with the other older participants on a weekly basis, where the prime target is maintaining a level of fitness through boxing orientated exercises. The coaches work you to your limits; sometimes beyond! It really is a whole body workout and you certainly feel the benefit. There is a good atmosphere and bearing in mind the different levels of fitness participants encourage one another to get the most out of each session. Although I attend other sessions to maintain my overall fitness I really enjoy meeting up weekly with this group. Friendships have developed and around Christmas time we usually go down town to round off the years session with some food and drink.
